Flag of Uzbekistan (GIF)

The flag of Uzbekistan (Uzbek: Oʻzbekiston davlat bayrogʻi / Ўзбекистон Республикасининг давлат байроғи) consists of three horizontal stripes of blue, white, and green, separated by two thin red lines, with a white crescent and twelve stars in the canton. White represents peace and purity, while blue represents water and the sky. The sky blue color also alludes to the flag of Timur. While green represents nature and fertility, as well as Islam, the red lines express the life force within everyone. The crescent moon symbolizes the Islamic faith, adopted by 89% of Uzbekistan's population, while the twelve stars represent spirituality, divinity, and the months of the Islamic calendar. Overall, the flag of Uzbekistan is a powerful symbol of the nation's cultural and religious heritage, representing its commitment to peace, nature, and Islamic traditions.

The emblem of Uzbekistan features a beautiful depiction of the mythical bird known as the Huma, which symbolizes peace, happiness, and the eternal quest for freedom. At the top of the Huma bird is the Rub al-Hizb star, representing the importance of Islam in the nation's identity. Below, the emblem showcases two rivers, the Amu Darya and Sir Darya, flowing from sun-risen mountains, reflecting the country's geographical features. Surrounding these elements are cotton plants and wheat ears, symbolizing the nation's agricultural wealth, purity, and prosperity. In essence, the emblem of Uzbekistan elegantly blends cultural, historical, and natural symbols to represent the values and identity of the nation.
